A full-scale reconditioning of the concentration plant is presently underway, involving changes in the process flow and replacement of outdated production assets with new, state-of-the-art equipment.
In order to enhance the plant throughput, the following equipment has been procured for the crushing & screening floor:
1. Jaw crusher – 1 unit
2. Double-deck screen - 1 unit
3. Vibrating feeder – 2 units
4. Roller crusher DVG-2x1000 – 1 unit
5. Belt conveyors – 10 units
Commissioning of the aforesaid equipment will create a capacity for crushing the ore feed down to size 10-15mm (for comparison: the old equipment would only put out crushed ore sized at 40-60mm).
The would-be size of crushed ore material (10-15 mm) will be conducive to a 4-5-times increase in the mill throughput, with the plant in general becoming capable of processing a minimum of 12-15 tons of ore per hour once the new equipment is in service, as compared to 3-4 tons per hour as normally achieved with the old production assets.
The grinding circuit equipment, as envisaged by the new process flow, has been sourced and is being readied for installation:
1. Knelson-class centrifugal concentrators – 4 sets
2. BGTS-250x3 hydrocyclone battery – 1 set
Reequipment of the concentrator floor by the Knelson-type units and the appropriate auxiliary equipment will render it possible to increase the recovery factor and, ultimately, the production of gold.
