The Avelum Partner carries on its activities in close coordination with the local self-administration bodies. A series of meetings with the local community representatives have been held, with a package of measures aimed at providing social assistance to the Emgekchil community being under development.
On May 1, 2022 a meeting for discussion of further operation of the Solton-Sary Mine was held with participation of representatives from Kyrgyzaltyn, Avelum Partner, local deputies, village council head, district governor deputy and law enforcement agencies. The subject of discussion included, inter alia, provision of social support to the local population in the form of regular transfer of funds in the equivalent of 1% of the sale proceeds for the benefit of the local community.
The parties are now making arrangements for signing a social support contract between the Company and the legal entity that will be in charge of administering the local community’s funds.
