The Avelum Partner has taken on its payroll 135 former employees of the “Solton-Sary Mine” affiliate of the Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC. Further, 5 authorized representatives from Kyrgyzaltyn are involved in the project operation on a joint basis. The mine-based employee count makes up a total of 199, inclusive of the contracting personnel.
Since the launch of the Project, the quality of site catering has been significantly enhanced, with the daily menus now including dairy products, fruits, seafood and other components of a healthy diet. The staff will at all times be provided with the required uniforms, shoes and personal protective equipment. The camp living conditions have been tangibly improved. Action is underway to provide good leisure for the site personnel, with entertainment functions being held on a regular basis. The staff’s wages have increased by an average of 70%, with a corresponding increment in payments to the social fund and income tax.
